Like in Paint so you can select background and foreground color. As for color picker that is currently associated with right button, it would get remapped to middle button. So:

  • Left click: Draw with foreground color
  • Right click: Draw with background color
  • Middle click: Pick foreground color
  • Ctrl+Middle click: Pick background color.

Strong downvote on this one. Right click sampling is how GraphicsGale does it, and it's so much better. Just draw a mini-palette of the colors you need right next to where you're drawing, then sample from them with right click.

I initially wanted this, but I've grown to love right click sampling.

I'm with innomin. I usually work with Gale, and right click is the greatest feature it has.

Also paint is like the worst reference in painting software I can think right now.

It's like Grafx2, which was my pixelling choice tool before. I think the way Pico is now is emulating the most comfortable and tried and true idioms.

I vote for if you use the scroll wheel, it rotates through the palette rather than global zoom (It would make more sense to have the mousewheel do zoom when you hover over the scroll bar)
