Hello everyone!
This is my first Pico-8 game!
Description
Survive an ever worsening rain storm for as long as possible. Some droplets will react to the players inputs... stay on your toes and get the highest score possible!
Dev's Thoughts
I had a lot of fun making this game and learning the engine. Completed it in a weekend. Now that I've made this game I feel I have a much better idea of how to organize a project - this one got pretty messy even though it is fairly simple. On my next project I hope to explore the sound editor a bit more, not very happy with the sounds here. Overall I had a lot of fun and think the game turned out pretty fun for a quick play. Let me know what you think!
Let me know your high score! <3

The moving raindrops are a nice challenge! Wasn't sure how to make use of the jump, so I ignored it, but maybe I just missed a chance at some points. I ended up with 108 on my first go, gonna dive back in and see how much better I can do.
A fun game, I got 384 points on my first try.
The moving rain drops is a creativ game play element.
Hope u make more games like this :)
A very nice first cart. A very simple game, but I like the fact that you've added little touches, such as the rain on the ground behind the man and the menu to game transition.
The main mechanic is pretty good but is there a point to jumping?
High score of 1,343. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Good twist on the falling objects genre.
It's possible to clear a lot of the moving rain drops by running towards the side on left or right.
@2bitchuck and @phil yea the jump is kinda useless, just there case I wanted to code it.
Working on a follow up cartridge that will expand on this one. If I actually finish it the jump will be more useful.
@phil great score!!
Got 1055 points on the first try. A little interesting score-attack game, I guess
Nice not-so-easy game! Black and red drops almost threw me off.
However after playing some time, the drops didn't hurt and I get bored. I deliberately touched a drop and got game over.
1666 on my first attempt. Found it relatively easy to just stand mostly still and thread through the drops with very tiny movements. This could develop into a more interesting game, perhaps with stormy conditions (diagonally moving drops), limited use umbrellas (one-shot shield), more raindrop color/movement types, day and night (harder to see the drops?), and so on. I like it conceptually and hope you find the interest to push it further.
