Hello! Here's a little game I've made for a game jam under the theme "emotions".
It's about hitting the ball as hard as you can to release your pent-up rage and prevent your head from exploding.

o to jump/double-jump
x to charge/release a smash

There's a 2p mode too!

It was made in 48h so it's a bit janky and there's no music. Feedback is very welcome! If I have time in the future I'd love to refine it a bit.

Also, let me know what your best score is! The current dev record is about ~70, but I'm sure 100 is more than achievable.

I had a lot of fun! You could random add targets for single player mode to spice up the scoring. The 3d ball mechanics are really good, I just wish I was shooting for something on that wall. Thank for making it!

Yes, targets are definitely something that would work. I agree that the gameplay would benefit from additional features. I'll keep that in mind for a future update!

I can't believe you made this so quickly! I love the squatty sprite, the double jump ability, the @#$%@ beep after missing. Hilarious and fun. I have no idea how you got to 70...I must suck at rageball.

To be fair, being the dev is OP, and while the game looks simple, it's actually pretty hard, and the 3d perspective makes the ball harder to catch.

The strategy I recommend is to hit the ball while pushing no direction (to have straight trajectories as much as possible) and to slightly charge each shot so that you remove as much rage as you accumulate. If you manage to catch the rythm, you can go quite far. Also, if you're not sure of your position relative to the ball, jump. You can use the air control to get down faster if necessary.

Oh, and use a controller! It can go a long way. :)
