SUBMERSIBLE V1

My first game to be released. Inspired from the game "Iron Lung" by David Szymanski.

STORY:

You are searching the deep sea with an old submarine find the sunken ship by arranging the coordinates. Scan the images of the sea floor and locate the shipwreck to complete the misson. Beware of the sea monster that lurks at depths.

CONTROLS:

During the title screen hold "X" to read the story and press "Z" to start the game. During the search screen use arrows to locate the submarine under the sea and press "X" to scan an image of the sea floor by the subramine camera. Scanning can be done again when the timer reaches zero.

Do not spare your feedbacks :)

This is cool, I really like the idea. However, I've payed it 8 times now, and in all but one of those I died or won on my very first scan, do I just have extreme luck or is that how it's supposed to go?

@Godmil i think i have solved your issue. Probably i have uploaded a test version for a death scene by mistake. Now the sequence should work well. Thanks for playing!

Yeah that seems to play better. I love seeing the little scan images, good sense of atmosphere.

This is really cool to see! One thought though, I wonder if you could lower the amount of HP that the monster takes from you, like maybe 1/3 at a time (so 3 strikes and you're dead), since most of my runs ended by just seeing the monster once, and I didn't have enough time to scan somewhere else, and so it starts to feel too much like a game of chance, rather than something that takes some skill.

@juniperbugs It was also my first intention to reduce the HP incrementally ( coding skills :/ ). I think this is going to be an update in the next version of the game. Thanks for the feedback!

Is there any input to tell us where to search next? As it is I feel like I'm choosing a random spot and winning or losing.

Am I missing something,

@joealarson In fact, it's literally a game of chance and there is no strategic approach to winning.

But your comment gave me new ideas for the upcoming update of the game. Perhaps locations on the map can be initially matched with random images so that an indicator of proximity to the target can be added to the display. Thanks for playing!
