I've had an updated version of this cart on my hard drive for ages that I've never uploaded so I thought I'd finally put it out there.

Just a small mod, mainly a texture tweak.

  • Updates a lot of textures to be closer to the ones in 2018 Celeste
  • Adds a unique tileset for each of the 3 sections of the game
  • Updates some existing textures to make them slightly nicer to look at (imo)
  • If you beat the game with 0 deaths, the game will reward you with a golden strawberry!

Thanks to Maddy Thorson and Noel Berry for making the original cart.

very cool! i got the golden strawberry too. people in the celelste classic speedrunning discord are also working on a complete revamp on the 2018 celeste in pico-8 as well. perhaps you might want to look there in the future?

I like the tiles, but something isn't right with the death count. I died about 8 times getting to here, including several times on the penultimate level.

When testing I made it so the death count wouldn't increment so I could test if the golden strawberry worked. I must have forgotten to switch it back. Oops! Will be fixed in like a few hours

cool textures, But why did you change the gameplay of some of the levels ;D

I climbed even more than in celeste classic, im mobile and playing in chrome (ye im dumb) so, this changed a bit levels is helped me a lot!



bro you removed my speedrun route on 1700m :(

you should reskin otther mods in the same way, especially old site as it is based on the new celeste

5 hours of this runs of this game. Probably over a hundred resets ive done it, I got the three useless to me irl but of significant value, the 3 golden trophies. Ill be uploading the full run to youtube soon.
