This is Cow Clicker! A game about milking cows!
Milk your cow and sell the gallons to earn yourself an honest living. Buy maids to get a helping hand.
If you need to take a break from milking, consider pausing the game to give your maids a rest too.
They may not appreciate seeing the farmer slack off all day while they do all the work. 🐐
350 squirts of milk to a gallon (Googled it). There are a few strategies you can choose as you get into the game, but the end is quite a ways out no matter what. Restarting the game will undo all of your progress. Nobody said farming was easy. 🌾 Icons will appear in the menu panels as you are able to use them.
Press Z or C to quickly return back to the 'cow' window.
Heavily inspired by Cookie Clicker, with a few twists on the typical formula.
This is my first game in PICO-8 that started from me just trying to learn the ins and outs of the console.
I coded it in my free time over the course of 3 weeks until I bumped into the token limit. As much as I'd love to continue adding things to it, I think it's time to move onto the next game. It's a clunky game but it gets the blue ribbon from me 🤠

@Jerkstore The upgrades you can unlock are supposed to be a surprise until you can afford them essentially. No harm in boosting your initial income if that's more fun though 🐄
Small tip for those reading this, skip buying the first two maids and go straight for the $25 butter churn as your first purchase. It's a decent amount more initial clicks but you'll be doubling your income in no time! Milk maids are useless until you have a few of them.

@dw817 that is correct. A single gallon of milk isn't enough to hire help on the farm
@Thom the goats will steal away your milk maids permanently if you let the game idle for too long. Best to do your part on the farm and not leave everything to the maids!
Farming ain't easy but if you stick with it you might be able to reach the surprise ending! Thanks for checking out my little game!
