I think being able to scroll horizontally with "Shift + mouse wheel" would make it easier to check for longer lines.
I can also use line breaks to keep up appearances, but I don't want to add too many characters.
(v0.2.5d later)
I confirmed that I can scroll horizontally with ctrl+mouse wheel when I am looking at the code editor!
I don't care that much about key combinations.
Thank you @zep!!
As I mentioned on Twitter, this is great!
But I also said I think it should really be shift+mousewheel, which seems to be the usual choice for horizontal scrolling, whereas ctrl+mousewheel is normally zoom or text size in a document window.
Yes, from my experience with other software, I too thought that horizontal scrolling was a combination with shift.
So far in the code editor, this key combination does not seem to conflict with any other function.
Hey, new-ish user to Pico here. How do I get access to this feature? Is it a script?
If you have Pico-8 running on your PC, you will see the following screen.
Press the ESC key there, and you will see the editor screen where you can type your Lua script.
It is difficult for me to explain all the features of Pico-8 here, so I recommend you to watch the tutorial video.
Have a good journey for a good experience!
@shiftalow (also @zep)
I'm not sure if zep looks at additional posts on resolved-bug threads. Can you mark this unresolved, since it really ought to be shift instead of ctrl?
If not, we might want a new thread asking for it to be shift-mousewheel.
