This is a common feature of many text editors. Though quite basic, it would make it way easier to traverse through your code and would get rid of some of the frustration of having to inch the cursor to the right.
Hi @Archonic:
Maybe not so much Shift+Arrows as that is used to highlight code nor CTRL+Arrows as that is used to jump words nor ALT+Arrows as that is used to change tasks in Pico-8, yet I would not be against CTRL+ "[" and "]" to scroll horizontally.
I really just meant shift+scroll. I know that pico-8 should be usable without a mouse, so your suggestion would be good for that.
You are suggesting the SCROLL key itself, @Archonic ?
Oww .. I can't think of anyone who might've pressed that button on the IBM keyboard in the past years. :D
Yep, I'm always thinking of keyboard-shortcuts.
@zep has some really good ones, not just for current Pico-8 but the Online version as well. See all the ones I found HERE:
Ohh ... MOUSE-SCROLL + Shift, @merwok. Well that's different. Yep to the mouse-users that would be useful. if I could get my Ctrl+ [ and ] then yep, I will totally endorse the idea !
Another suggestion for future Pico-8, @zep !
But, yeah, I would not call this a BUG. Could change the TOPIC to CHAT or something else.
