Out of curiosity, I was testing to confirm that the new limit on length of audio recordings via extcmd("audio_rec") was per-instance and not per-session ... and discovered that the length of recording I got was 2 minutes instead of the 8 minutes listed in the v0.2.5d changelog.
An 8-minute limit makes sense to me but a 2-minute one doesn't, so I'm assuming this is an error of some sort.
edit: confirmed fixed in v0.2.5g.
Yup, I'm seeing the same thing: recording seems to cut off after 2 minutes on 0.2.5e. I might also argue that a 16 minute recording time would be nice if the goal is to fit a single song, in a 99th percentile vs. 95th percentile kind of way. (Or maybe this just says something about the music I like to listen to....) 2 minutes seems very short for sure.
That's a point - and looking at the music in my music folder, excluding DJ sets and the one ambient album that's all 27-minute-long pieces, I count 51 over 8 minutes and only 7 over 16 minutes. Jazz and ambient/ambient-influenced genres in particular seem to have a lot of longer pieces, and I've definitely tried to write both in PICO-8.
