Vertical and horizontal scroll bars in the code editor would be a godsend. The code editor isn't exactly the easiest to navigate (especially when trying to move horizontally), so for the sake of accessibility, this would be a wonderful addition.
For mouse users, I can see this being a positive thing, @emalan-p. There is only so much real-estate on the screen available in 128x128 pixels though so I would make it something that is optionally controlled.
This would be amazing. They could appear for a few seconds once u move the mouse and then disappear after the mouse is idle for a second or two.
@ridgekuhn that's kinda what I was thinking. I was thinking that they could (optionally) only appear when the mouse is over their position or during scrolling, and then they disappear when not in use.
If it disappears in the absence of the mouse, guys, OK, that sounds fair. I'll support this. Gold star given.
Now @zep just needs to know about this feature request.
And @Emalan-P. Please change the TOPIC of your post from BUG to CHAT.
I would like at least "SHIFT + mouse wheel" horizontal scrolling.
I have submitted a request in the past.
Feature Request: Horizontal scrolling in the code editor
https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=39262
By the way, the operations I could currently identify in the editor included the following.
Horizontal scroll to end of line
- Home/End
Horizontal scrolling per word
