The year is 1.000.000 AD, you are Ragnar Lothbrok MCXIII, the galaxy's most lethal warrior. You have reached an age where your use to The Supreme Galactic Empire is in decline and the Empire's war council has allowed you to go out in a blaze of glory, to spare you from tarnishing your reputation with the weakness that follows old age. You have been given a vessel and set loose in an arena filled to the brim with slaves from the warrior planet Xlorgon VI. Slaughter as many as you can, as you drown in an ocean of blood and glory.

@Tatery1 Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing! I'll have to look into the balancing a bit better.
@Kittycat Thank you! That's super nice to hear!
@dw817 Yeah I wanted it to be a bit hard to control but I think I may have gone a little overboard. I tend to have trouble finding that line where things are challenging but not frustrating.
nice mix between Asteroids and a regular shmup!
I also find the control a bit odd - the inertia may be ok but rotation control is way too finicky.
(and sound design is excellent!)
Hi @slumma.
You might be interested in how Asteroids does it. No slippery controls at all. Press LEFT rotate left. Let go, stop instantly. Press RIGHT rotate right. Let go, stop instantly.
@freds72 Thanks for playing! You're probably right about the rotation being too finicky. I'm gonna try to figure something out.
@dw817 Yeah I tried having it stop instantly and I didn't think it felt super good. But maybe increasing the friction and limiting the rotational speed further might strike a balance between the two. I feel like there needs to be an element of chaos but not so much that the player feels like they could just as well close their eyes and hope for the best.
I really appreciate everybody's comments. It's so nice of you to take the time to give me feedback.
