Oh wow ! How lovely that is, @PotatoImaginator.
I might add an option so it is just solid B&W or even an option for just GREEN as that was the color of monochrome monitors in the day.
Nicely done ! Gold star.
@dw817 It's hard to see with single color , that's why i added 3 colors
Ah, @PotatoImaginator. But that's the point. I wanted to see if I could glean the cube (if you'll pardon the expression) :) even if there was only one color to it.
Make it more challenging for the brain to follow. Some puzzles do not require user input.
Also to add keystrokes such as 🅾️ and ❎ to change the size of the cube perhaps. Maybe add menu options to control its speed as well.
@dw817 Yes , all of these are nice ideas :) Maybe you can modify the code and try it ?
@dw817 @PotatoImaginator
I made it green! I'll post one with color cycling soon! (sorry I forgot to change the label image)
Edit: Hid the cart cause this post is big
Edit0: And here it is with color cycling! (forgot the label image again, whatever, at least I made the green brighter)
Look at you @Pico_Maker. Nice job ! Here I was gonna tackle this today and here you done did it. I kinna want bright-green tho like the old-style monitors so I'm gonna touch up what you did here.
And yep, I saw your color cycling. At first I thought something else - I most post that too. For now though, yeah, neat stuff !
Here is cube green with "ansi" style borders and reflect boundaries.
Here is the color version I had in mind.
@dw817 i like both . The green one looks Matrix / Ascii thingy
@dw817 Ok, that color version is actually really cool. I am very inexperienced with 3d stuff (and reading other people's code) however, so even if I wanted to, I couldn't do that. (imagine if that cycled the colors around instead of a "static" colored cube, like fancy Christmas lights)
Hi @Pico_Maker.
Cycle the colors like Christmas lights, hmm ? I love a good challenge. Let me give that some thought.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to get the desired output as the cube is moving. If it were stationary I could fix a point of colors.
Here is my draft.
If someone else wants to try I would welcome that ...
