Graphics are nice. The pixel font on the title screen looks great.
I like the concept of the single action that serves two purposes, but I think it needs to be tuned a little to tone down the trial-and-error aspect. It feels bad when your spell hits a goblin or wall after one or two tiles and you don't really get a look at the map. I think it might play better if the spells illuminate the map for a fixed amount of time. (Maybe there is a lingering fire on the ground when the fireball collides with a goblin or wall very early)
The music has the right feel but the loop is much too short. I know music is hare, I'm not a musician either, but I would try to extend it with minor variations in the melody.
Keep up the good work!
@puddleglumm Thank you for the feedback. I have lengthened the music loops and added a minimum amount the time the fire will light up the dungeon. Let me know what you think
Good game, @PUNKWEIGHTINTRO.
Here now though. Could you please add if you hold X to light the map, you get to see the map until you release the key.
My brain can't remember the whole map in the time you currently show it.
Love the movement of the darkness on the edge of the vision, it really adds to the atmosphere.
Nice game. Definitely the fireball needs to light up the dungeon for much longer. Perhaps you can make torches that you can light up, and each torch permanently lights up the dungeon in a large-ish radius
@dw817 @DrSeafood Thank you for the feedback. I have increased the minimum amount of time fireballs will light up the dungeon and added torches which will light up the dungeon for a longer time. Let me know what you think.
