Interesting, for me it always seemed wonky.


There were of course plenty of changes and additions, but it was a great starting point and inspiration for me. Also for example the tutorial's character design worked so well, I was compelled to stick pretty close to my first modification of it, even if something more original would have been nice in principle.

I'd be happy to discuss the implementation more if you or anyone else has questions (though it has mostly been 2 years so I'm a bit rusty on some details). Feel free to also DM or ping on the PICO-8 Discord for example.

Glad someone bumped this to the top of the board! Great title, love the graphics and the controls and mechanics are really well done. Sometimes Pico-8 makes me want to see a full version of the game, and this is definitely one of those times, though even as is, it's a satisfying finish!
