Farland v2 as the name implies is a sequel to my first ever mod Farland. This mod is primarily a map mod like the original although there's some new mechanics, music (thanks RubyRed), etc. If you haven't played the original Celeste classic before playing this than I highly recommend it as some of the later levels may prove to be very challenging without previous experience.

Controls:
Arrow keys - Movement
Z/C - Jump
X - Dash

Huge thanks again to RubyRed for making the entire OST of the mod, and i want to give thanks to Maddy thorson and Noel berry for the original Celeste classic. Lastly i want to thank the Celeste classic community for playtesting and also just being really supportive.

I like the music, especially the references to Celeste's steam release. Also the black-and-white part is way cooler than in Farland 1.

@ooooggll yea the grayscale part was partially inspired by the new celeste mod Glyph if you've heard of that and it just looks a lot better than the original farland did lol

Good mod! really liked the polished features and new levels! Is there a alternate route in this mod like in farland? I couldn't tell

@KameraXd I have played Glyph, it's very fun. Makes sense that you got inspiration there!

@coolelectronics There's no secret route in the game for now but there is a little secret in the game :)

Absolutely great !

are the bubbles a climbmod reference?

what's Glyph!?

@blakery not really, they're actually more of a reference to the new celeste's feather bubbles.

can u add golden berry ?
btw nice mod

Wow, just an amazing mod overall. A golden berry would be cool to try. I like the secret but I think its a bit too easy to find.

How did you get into those spikes?

@sxqvop You can get in there by clipping through the spikes with a well timed dash

@sxqvop If you want a better explanation and some examples here is a link to a great guide on speedrun.com explaining only the best of ¨EPIC STYLE GLITCHES AND SPEED TECH¨

I need a HINT for the penguin hideout!
my brain is dead inside trying to find it XD

For you hint: Its simple break the #1 rule of side scrolling platformer games ;)
Or another hint if you know Steam Celeste lore is: Intro car
Glyph is an amazing Celeste for steam mod that has a grayscale part like in this mod

thank you!

EDIT:
poggers I found it:

Finally finished! I loved the whole thing, it was just the right amount of challenging at different spots, and is probably going to be my favorite celeste mod now (better than both the og and Awake)!

I Found It :D

We did everything! (btw these are different runs)

It was so hard to get under 5.

Get Real

Not bad for a first run, I need to get all em tho!

This is such a great mod I love it

@SandwichBlam @omoNattie Nice!

@CrownDeluxe I am currently grinding out for sub 4 (closest run is 4:09. So many possible sub 4 runs have been ruined by 3000M and 3200M)

1

@KameraXd
@CrownDeluxe
I don't like this game. (SUB 4. I AM NOT (maybe) GRINDING FOR SUB 3:50)

@SandwichBlam @Tentoshin
We should set up a speedrun.com.
Also, I have no idea what weird gemskip-type shortcuts you're doing, because 2 deaths less does not cut off 40 seconds.

@loadandcode
How did you jump there? Does the jump space leave enough room for the spike hitbox to not make contact?

@CrownDeluxe
It is called a spike jump. You have to basically jump right before you touch the spikes or something along those lines. If I did explain this well enough, here is a link to speedrun tech like this: https://www.speedrun.com/celestep8/guide/c7f0t

1

@CrownDeluxe I'll post a link to some tricks that I'm using 'cause they're kinda hard and easy (requires knowledge of speed tech)

1

@CrownDeluxe
This might be too much (DOESN"T CONTAIN ALL TACTICS I USE)

1

@Tentoshin I used a lot of those, just not that ones that had spike jumps(if they're called that) or something that left you an extra dash somehow.

yea some of those are really ease to do tbh

This is now my favourite celeste mod and speedrun, took a while GG

Amazing mod

New PR!
(yes i'm doing this again)

Now that's what I call a pb!

Cool and GGs!

*The cloud placements of 3100m reminds me of similar ones in Celeste Golden Ridge. ↓
