Quickstart:
This is amazing. Still finding my feet here with the controls but it seems like there's a lot to discover. I like that time acceleration made it in, and this transfer helper seems useful, even if I haven't quite figured out how to use it yet - sometimes it seems hard to get everything visible at the same zoom level. I also took off orbiting the wrong way on my first attempt, which made things harder.
Seems super cool overall though, I'll be spending more time with this one!
This is awesome. Definitely going to take some getting used to, but I'm really impressed with how much you were able to incorporate here. I'll be studying your code to find out how I can improve my orbital mechanics game.
I absolutely love the shadows cast by the bodies.
One issue: I wish I could tell which bodies I've already scanned.
I finished it. I loved every second. It didn't take too long for me to get the hang of it, but I wish I'd realized I had all the important controls while the HUD was closed earlier.
The sheer amount of orbiting bodies in every system was insane, and made me want to try to intercept them all. Would be cool to have some on far more eccentric orbits.
The only thing really lacking that would make this a true masterpiece is music. I hope the [to be continued] at the end is a promise.
Thank you:) I am happy you enjoyed it!
True, some really eccentric orbits would be cool. Because of the randomness of the bodies I opted for stability with only slightly elliptial orbits. Plus the flight computer can only handle circular ones:)
This looks fantastic! Need to look at the manual an learn to play now :D
Is it possible that a pico update goofed something up? The body IDs I am getting are really, really long now and look mostly like it is iterating through the alphabet. Not quite sure what is up!
