my intention was to steal the particle effects and code from violet but in the end i was too confused to do it :( Also my friends at school love your games and we like to visit violet often!

This game feels like it's going to be pretty great! right now I have two pet peves with this though.

Escape spawns enamies which I guess is ok for debugging but it means you can't leave the game so that
- THE SICK BEATS they don't play on level entry they only restart after you die and it makes me so sad because it's such good music
Controls and enemy AI probably need explanation (in the game is best, though in the forum post is also very very good).
Other than that, good concept, good work so far!
It should be said, I expect players to be able to figure out how to control. For example, the first level is to challenge the player's direction control; the second level requires the use of 'dash' to pass.
Fair point - it was fairly quick to figure out. Carry on.
