Good news! After intensive labor negotiations, Santa's elves have decided not to go on strike. In an effort to meet the elves' demands for less stress and more fun, management has agreed to start the PICO-8 Advent Calendar Bundle a few weeks earlier than normal and manage the project with a game jam on Itch. We're hoping to get far more participants than last year and streamline the onboarding process. Please don your elf cap and join us. https://itch.io/jam/pico-8-advent-calendar-2024
Quick update: we've got several elves now working on some very cool Christmas games. The progress gifs look amazing! We'd like to fill in the Advent Calendar with even more games though. If you've got an idea for a small game, demo, or reskin, please join us. We hope to release the first games in early December. We'd love to have your project too.
My 7YO daughter would like to participate. That would mean a one or two players (santa + elf) easy platformer where you'd have to gather gift across a 1 screen tall 32 screens wide map, with relatively poor graphics. If you think that's OK for one of the dayly advent games, then we're in.
@RealShadowCaster, that sounds awesome! We welcome games of all sizes and for all skill levels.
Good News: The elves have been hard at work. We will release a new holiday themed game, demo, or other goody each day, from December 1 through Christmas day. Get ready for big fun!
We also still have some space on the calendar for a few more projects. Therefore, we will continue to accept holiday carts throughout December. So, get in the spirit of the season and please join us in spreading some joy.
