This level isn't about fighting. It's about love, romance, and conquest. It's about impressing the other robot. It's about life in 2D, in 3D.
It's about dying repeatedly in a bottomless pit until you figure out how to escape.
There are two ways to win, and hitting the floor of the pits are an instant game over. (Feel free to use the menu's restart room option if you reach such a screen, though.) Yeah, I know this adventure is short and simple (it doesn't even need powerups, I just threw one health pack in there to be nice), and my artistic skills are still rather lacking, but I hope it shows you some new and unexpected tricks and decent gameplay all the same.
I would totally force an orthogonal perspective on most of the rooms in this if I could.
This is amazing! It's filled to the brim with interesting tricks other editors could use, and you pull it all off so brilliantly!
Kudos to you!
Also, probably half of them will be classified as bugs and fixed in the next version.
Just as long as you can get past the second room, I'm happy. Sorry for the somewhat difficult luck-based beginnings there, I just really wanted to work in that bad ending.
Oh, I thought that was the end of it... Guess I'd better try it again.
@JTE that weird jump to prevent the fail ending is...interesting. not even sure how i got it ha. Love the lava levels after wards, great use of the space and making it more "2d" and linear actually worked out well. Oh and adding 1 or 2 health packs wouldn't hurt. HA HA get it? its a punt cause uh ya...
I made the right door appear in rainbow squid thing mode to hint that there was more to it, as you can ACTUALLY reach there somehow. Although I originally did pin it as inescapable indeed.
A little disappointed to think that there will be countless people who play it and think that's the ending anyway, though... Oh well. Victory to the persistent, I suppose.
Hah! :D Nice job! Neat little tricks in there too, which I have yet to figure out in the editor! I wish there was a more organized way to go through those kind of things :P
(HEART!) Love this! I like to see when people take an engine and do things with it that were unthought of or unexpected. Kudos!
