Overview

Welcome to "Memory Matching Madness," a captivating memory matching card game that will test your memory and perception. Immerse yourself in this classic game with a twist, featuring smooth animations and dynamic gameplay.

Controls

  • Controller support by default. Testing done with keyboard & Xbox Controller
    • Directional Pad: Move Cursor
    • A Button (Xbox) / Z (Keyboard): Confirm / Flip Card
  • Mouse support toggled in PICO-8 Menu.
  • Touch support toggled in PICO-8 Menu.

How to Play

Playing "Memory Matching Madness" is simple:

  1. Click on two cards to reveal them.
  2. Match pairs of cards to make them disappear.
  3. Keep matching until you've cleared the entire grid.
  4. Earn new pairs by completing grids

I picked a memory matching card game as a simple idea to get a project out the door, as I have been falling into a rut of not completing projects due to one reason or another.

It was fun to work on. Its not exactly the most code efficient cart but it was fun to work on and I think I learned alot.

This is fun! I was always the best at pairs as a kid, but it plays a little differently in a high speed setting. You've taken a game that normally needs another person to play and found a way to make it single player, which is awesome :)
I like that you have all the different options, too, so you can play the way you want; the random card placement was a little too chaotic for me so I switched it off.
Just a good, engaging game. Well done :)

Very smooth graphics and fun game, the moving cards makes it more challenging.

That plays so well, and has wonderful polish. Very impressive release.

Great! Trickier, and therefore more enjoyable, than I first expected. I love the jazzy music.
