Like Tetris, but you can erase cells in 2 directions.

Have fun! 😜

This is a really neat take on tetris, i love it!

Remarkable easy to play game, @Ahai64. Very well done ! Gold star work.

The fact you can eliminate lines on either axis instead of having to fill up a whole layer makes this a lot more approachable than the 3D Tetris versions I've seen, Nice job!

One thing that I think would be nice is a mode where you only have a certain amount of time to place each piece before it's forced down. I guess to do that, though, you'd have to either have layers of blocks that can stack on each spot, or just make it a game over if someone takes too long.

Really fun! My best so far is 138

Edit -- figured out how points work and got 640

this is fun! 😸

I got confused quite often about the positioning of the pieces — if the destination squares could have a shadow, or the pieces be closer, that would help me.

also I wonder how the time pressure effect from the original game could be adapted here… maybe a countdown for each piece?

@beanborg Haha, I updated it. It was 2/4/8/16/32 points for clearing 1/2/3/4/5 lines. But it is hard and risky to clear multiple lines. So I improved it to 4/16/64/256/1024. I never got a 1024. It has to clear 3+2 lines in two directions.

@merwok Yes, the offset is confusing sometimes. I haven't found a better way to solve it. Both top and bottom Minos should be displayed and there is no transparency in PICO-8.

And a time limit may not fit this mode when Minos is not falling down. There is no "speed", so there is no "time".

I see! I went a couple more and got 1172 after doing the 5x clear. It feels way to rewarding at this point to go for the big combos. There is more risk, sure, but when the board is empty at the start it feels like there's no reason not to try to go for it because it's clear.

Great game! I love it!
I'm not completely sure but it seems as if the high score gets reset every time a game ends. So, if you had a high score of 500 and then get 450 on the next game, the high score will be 450 from that point on.

@vteromero Thank you! I didn't compare the current score with the highest score. Now I fixed it.
