My attempt at John Conway's Game of Life.
Press Z to bring up a settings menu or X to randomly fill the area with cells.
Note: At 64x64 and 128x128 the refresh rate will be very slow regardless of the fps setting.

lovely, could play with that for hours!
what do you think of a mode where the player can toggle cells on/off? that would let us find interesting configurations. (maybe even with a save option!) (then there could be presets that are saves of classic configurations like glider, glider shooter, etc)
