Very hard game, but overall I think that it's really good. Maybe you can make the player shoot faster as compensation for the extra enemies, but overall it's pretty good. I can't get any of the endings because I'm not very good at it, but I will be trying more later today.

Thanks for playing Jack! I appreciate the feedback, and it's true I made this purposefully very challenging to mimic the difficulty of the arcade games of my youth.

However, I tried to make it tough but fair and the shoot speed does increase after every wave of 8 levels up to about level 40 where it maxes out. You also gain hit points as you progress so you can take more damage. There's a checkpoint after every wave so if you game over you can restart from the beginning of the last wave. Finally, there's almost no randomization so once you learn the pattern for each level you can kind of breeze through it.

Considering this is kind of a one-trick gimmick game gone a little far, gameplay balancing took up a lot of time. After playing from beginning to end several dozen times, I'm generally satisfied with the current balance. There's a couple of the middle waves that are a little too easy actually, but I left those be as a kind of breather.

Anyway, I really appreciate you taking the time to play. If it gave you even a brief moment of entertainment, then I consider my job done. :-)
