Somewhere in New Jersey,
A pot of soil was left behind in a prison cell.
Suddenly, a plant springs forth!!

Help the plant escape.

Arrow Keys - Move the plant
Z+X - Reset the game

When you reset, you go back to your humble beginnings.
In a flowerpot, in a prison.

It's pretty easy, but I like the concept a lot!

I think I might have found a bug though. Am I supposed to get stuck like this here? Surely the screen should scroll?

@tobiasvl, you can actually still play that part "blind". i thought that would be a fun challenge, but it is clear that it just looks broken. i uploaded a new version with a fix.

Ah, right right. Yes, since I see that part first I could certainly do it blind, if I knew beforehand that I needed to take mental notes of the layout! That's actually a nice mechanic that would make it a little more challenging. I like that more than your fix in theory, but it could be made clearer that I should be aware of the layout first.

That was pretty fun, I liked it.

I think you should disable the move key during transitions, sometimes I make "miss" moves during the scrolling, which this frustrating when you have to reset the whole game.

reset to the start makes it very punishing

I've been meaning to get back to this game and I agree with Floman. One life and start ALL OVER again from the beginning is a bit much - is why I stopped playing.

At absolute most maybe backtrack one level. Redo the same level again if not solved would be best.

We live in an age now where complex games and puzzles do not merit"death" as the end the game completely. It just means, you didn't get it right, try again.

There are some exceptions, like Rogue "permadeath," but even those have an option to Save Game to continue again.
