Has someone managed to learn how to make the very first transition in one jump?
Till today I was 100% sure it's not possible so my route always started as red line.
Accidentally I've jumped today in direction of green arrow but failed to reproduce.
If I'll learn this trick I'll definitely go down 33 - the current record 33.3000 does not involve green jump.
If I won't find anything drastically new somewhere around 0:32.7500 would be my limit.
Will play till autumn and I'll guess will stop.
If ur playing with 8bitdo then on all games:
A=Z
B=X
the D-pad is useless so use the joystick on the left
~31.8000 is possible but I need to buy a new keyboard - I'm just afraid to ruin my laptop.
Squeezing more than that would be extremely difficult to me.
(But I'm still not using the green jump)
My fingers are melting today, however I am very happy.
What I now believe in is that attempts to increase average is the most effective strategy.
For a very long time I believed I hit my wall till I decided to concentrated on achieving sub 34 more and more often and after that - sub 33.
I believe that with current strategy I still can shave off a hundred or two milliseconds but this going to cost me a lot of effort. I will concentrate on green jump technique though I'm failing like 99 times of 100 with it - it looks like this can be huge advancement.
I won't lie - I'm actually proud. Sub 31 seems unreachable for me so far.
But this is extra fun
Sub 31sec! Till I'll see there's improvement in my average I'll keep going.
Sub 30 is something I most likely won't reach though.
Pretty fun out of bounds glitch but probably doesn't have much use
After months of not adding anything new to technique I finally slightly modified strategy by mastering
rushing through ice downwards - this needed at the very first red/green switch. It's far from ideal and if I'll polish it I still can shave off like, dunno, 200-300ms. Sub 30 starts to be looking achievable.
I was punished for my arrogance and the actual progress is very slow.
I still can imagine sub 30 but this is a tremendous effort. I guess I'll stop somewhere around 0:30.3000
I can not say that it's getting painfully close to sub 30 because this gap is actually huge.
But what I can say for sure that there's still room for improvement.
I got a runtime error when entering the last room where it shows your time and mushroom count. It said something like "attempt to compare number with nil". When I tried to recreate the error to take a screenshot, it didn't happen, so I'm not entirely sure what caused it.
