Rules

Select a single patch tile from your hand and sew it into your quilt, then draw another patch into your hand from the three available. If you are able to create a color group, you may sew a button onto your quilt. If you are able to create a pattern combination that is attractive to any of the cats, it will come over and curl up on your quilt! At the end of the game, you score points for buttons, cats, and how well you were able to complete your unique quilt pattern.

Calico is a complex game ! I highly recommend playing the tutorial before your first game .

  • Use the Z key to control the camera

Ok I'll be honest, I haven't got my head around the scoring yet, but I'm sticking with it cause it's just so pretty, and it's oddly relaxing just placing down patches and seeing little scoring markers pop up. Also the transitions with the fill patterns look sooo good.

@Godmil let me know if you have any questions ! It's a bit of a headtrip at first , but eventually thats what makes the game so fantastic haha .

Also one of the benefits of demaking board games is that theres an 8 page manual thats just available online with all the rules hahaha !

Thanks for the comment :)) i tried really hard to get it feeling as cozy as possible

it's good game to play time to time, actually challenges are really hard
(i can't clearly understand how to get cat coin)

the cat tokens are different every game ! You can check what they are by either double tapping o , or by moving up to the top of the board . They are completely by arranging the shape a cat likes , with one of the pattern that the cat likes- or by connecting the correct number of tiles in a single group .

It's a bit hard to make sense without the board infront of me ! Let me know if that makes sense , or feel free to check out the official rulebook !

Loving this game so far.

I'm glad you're playing it ! I kind of intended as a "play on the bus" kind of game , which is funnily where I always felt the boardgame should be played- hard to get the cardboard out on a bus though haha !

Nice score !
