This is the new version of Scrap Boy, with different mechanics from the jam version.
Featuring 3 levels, 6 weapons, 3 difficulties, collectibles and a time attack mode!
(you can swap X and O in the pause menu if needed)
An absolutely stunning little mega man-like.
Fun fact: You don't really need to provide X and O swapping. The mapping in PICO-8 goes like: zxcv -> oxox
So players need only slide their fingers over. And if you're smart you can do this with 4 button controllers on PC and raspberry pi. I guess it would help for the mobile phone web player though.
Fantastic game! Beautiful, fun, high-quality!
Nicely done indeed!
softlock on level 2, fall into spike pit with bomb power and softlock
@gagidoo you have to use the bomb to explode the wall/door there :)
i'm talking about the pit right next to the dash, if you fall in with specifically BOMB, because of spike immunity, you are softlocked
@gagidoo oh ok, I didn't intend it to be possible to go to the right after falling from the top area. I shortened one of the platforms so it shouldn't be possible now. Thanks for the feedback!
I love the different power-ups in this the auto-laser in particular was really satisfying to use. Also, it's nice to see a more imaginative and interesting spin on wall-jumping with the magnet power-up. :D
Anyway, I really liked this game so I recorded another one of my videos:
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get this game added to speedrun.com. However, if anyone wants some times to shoot for, I've posted videos of my best runs in this playlist (starting from the 6th video):

I did time attack runs on every difficulty, both any% & 100%.
And thanks again @extar for your review that brought me to this wonderful game!
found a softlock on level 3 "final spark", if you get laser and go down you can't go past the second screen on the bottom
@gagidoo I think you mean bomb, not laser :P
Fixed, thanks for letting me know!
This is incredible. Awesome game. We set up PICO-8 on a RasPi on a CRT TV with gamepad, and this is the very first game we played on it. Perfect.
the best platformer next to the celeste classics!
love it :)
Best game technically on PICO 8 imho. Amazing work! Congratulations.
