I am pretty close to finishing Point Crash V2.0 and wanted some suggestions for maps. A person can only have so many ideas at a time. ( am I right? )
I've got about 5 and want at least 20 so I'll take suggestions.
-I'd like your suggestion to tell me the name of the map (it must be anywhere between 1 to 7 characters long. any longer and the name won't fit on the label. Abbreviations could work but can cause some confusion.).
-I would also like if you could tell me what the layout of the level would be like just to make it easier for me to understand.
Please nothing vulgar or inappropriate I don't like to involve things like those within my games.
Just want to know if you all want to have something in point crash.
Could I make a suggestion?
Maybe the players could spawn in diffdrent floating blocks, so, it's like a kind of jumping puzzle, at the same time they are fighting, so it would be much more difficult!
I would've liked a name between 1 to 7 letters long or else it won't fit on the the label.

This is the label. In order the fit all the level labels in voxatron I have to make the name only 1 to 7 letters long.
Could I make another suggestion?
There could be a really high room, in which, players appear in a big platform, sostained by a lot of very thin columns, below it.
So, under the big platform, put some Butamons. They will start destroying the columns, and so the platform will fall.
NOTE: Don't make a single massive platform, sorry. Make small, platforms, make a bunch of them, with a space between in which a player can not fall into, and each one should be sostained by a single column. so, when the player stands in a platform, the butamon comes, destroys the column, making the platform to fall, with the player on it.
The name would be skape, like, telling that you have to escape from the butamons.
Done. Instead of butamons i used custom invisible monsters that randomly eat at the platforms

Just remember that if the ground is something other than solid and the mobs are locked in z, they will just walk in circles
thats strange because the ground isn't solid (its just an animation on the ground there it makes the void look cooler), and they are locked in z but when i added an animation to see how the move they don't go in circles
Well, they are supposed to eat the column, so the platform falls.
Well, It doesn't matter.
Could I suggest Another idea?
There could be a room full of lava, and there could be Almost invisible platforms over the lava, but also leave some spaces, in which the players will fall if they don't pay too much atention.
NOTE: The platforms can be just totally invisible, if you want, but the platforms have to be like in the skape level, together. Except in the gaps.

I altered the way it would look because I don't want the maps looking too similar.
Upon creating this map I have reached the 300K memory point. Its getting a bit big.

About the memory issue, you could make it into two parts, if you see it gets too big.
The strangest thing just happened...
It was 299.7 K and I saved the label, and magically it turns to 168.3 K My brain is just like What happened??????

oh I forgot that it only happens when the monster is set to chase the player.
I don't really care about the size of my cartridge usually, because it's alway going to be smaller than 1mb, it would take a lot of hours of gameplay to reach such size.
my biggest cartridge has 269kb
the biggest cartridge I've played on the bbs was journey to the east with 445kb, seriously you need more than 20 maps to start worrying about that.
about the transparen platforms, I believe that it would be better if they were monsters (prop-monsters) that are only visible at a certain distance, flashing its color when the time in the room is less than 50 so the player has a slight idea of the area.
I don't really want to have invisible platforms. Point Crash is really just about the fast paced action. If its fast paced people won't really watch out for their surroundings, so they might end up falling into the pits a lot more often then normal. So I don't really want to have too many maps with pits.
I do however want them to create the pits themselves so there are consequences for using powerful weapons. Its more of a "get harder as it goes on" type of deal.
Also about the size thing, thanks for letting me know. I actually wanted quite a bit of maps but didn't know if size of the level would interfere. Now i can have many!
