Behind the Scenes
WARWIND was solo developed over a month to take part in the Lazy Dev's "SHMUP Showcase" . I'd like to thank everyone that offered feedback on the game during development , particularly in the Lazy Devs discord community . Unfortunately I didn't get the time to make the final boss in time for the deadline . As this is quite an old project by now , I likely won't be touching it again
I found major bug. The game didn't start when starting. when resetting. it crashes.
yep noticed that too , fixing it right now
*edit- fixed it
Ok that's pretty cool. Love the idea of a shootemup metroidvania! Also the clouds with the planes shadows looks soo good.
During the boss that requires night vision, I occasionally got damage while in a corner with none of the bombs in range.
Also, I think it'd be courteous to the player if you indicate that one of the routes requires night vision before the player goes on that route. Being told only after it's too late gives the impression that the game isn't trying to be fair.
@Godmil thank you !
@kimiyoribaka thats strange ? maybe it was off screen . And you're one hundred percent correct about letting the player know its a night vision level . This is quite an old project by now , and theres some rough edges id have loved to change but the code is hieroglyphs to me now LOL
it's shooting game with intresting mechanic
instead just go straight, you have to explorer some area, get some planes and save point
however third boss can be difficult, tip is in 3 phase, burst your fire fully and dodge bullets and bomb without dash
i will wait for next update
@OWD238 sadly you might be waiting a fair amount of time for an update :'( This project is about a year old at this point , was just migrating a lot of my projects onto splore .
You the second person who I'm aware to have beaten it ! Congrats :):):)
If you enjoyed it I'm currently working on another shmup , but it's much more traditional than this
Can you post the actual game cart so I can play it as a multicart offline?
