As mentioned by the title, I have two questions.

Question 1: What is the Devkit and how is it enabled? (Just curious.)

Question 2:
If you see this character in an RPG:
[16x16]

would you prefer no eyes or yes eyes?
For reference here is a bird I made for the same RPG. (please tell if it's a good bird, never really did pixel bird before)
[8x8]

Also for this one, no eyes or yes eyes?

1 no

Thanks for reading :)

The "devkit", in our fantasy console world, consists of a keyboard and a mouse that can be connected to the console. Enabling it allows pico-8 to read input from the keyboard (arbitrary keys, not just the ones mapped to the gamepad) and the mouse.

I prefer no eyes on that character, easier to read. Also the bird looks good. Good luck!

@tobiasvl Alright, thanks. I'll update it soon :)

@tobiasvl Sorry, I forgot to ask, but do you know how to enable it?

1

poke(0x5f2d, 1) enables devkit
stat(30) returns true if any key is pressed
stat(31) returns the actual character
32 and 33 are mouse x and y respectively
34 returns a bitfield of the current mouse buttons pressed. 1 is left, 2 is right, 4 is middle.
