I'm using a PS2 controller through a USB adapter on Win XP pro.

I can't seem to map the d-pad buttons in the control setup. Thumbsticks, buttons, and triggers work fine.
The D-Pad works fine in other programs and I have used the buttons in a program using directinput that I've recently written.

(Before anyone brings this up, I do know that the PS2 controller supports pressure sensitivity on its buttons. However, the adapter translates them as simple buttons.)

TL;DR
Controller d-pad doesn't work, but works in other applications.

thanks,

I have the same problem, thou i have an normal gamepad.
However, in my case it crashes everytime i push at least one button in the D-Pad. I hope it gets fixed, i want to use the D-Pad.

try what I did: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=550
I use my D pad for movement, right analog stick for Aiming, R1 to shoot, L1 to Jump.

Thought I might use joytokey, but I'm used to the keyboard now. Just thought I'd point out the d-pad thing.
