This is a small graphics exercise & de-facto walking simulator.

it features:
-Nice isometric tiles.
-Simple collisions.
-Color cycling & Day/Night palette.
-Looping map
-Some other things

I wasn't smart enough to figure out:
-Dynamic z-ordering
-Level compression

Also, the "music" was made in a previous version,
so some of the patterns do not loop as originally intended.

TRIPPY!

Oh please please make this into a proper surreal game!

Like one of the pictures my dad used to draw in the 70s.

that teleporting effect is super neat!

Wow I want this map as a poster

this is amazing

I love this so much! Great job. It's a work of art.

Reminds me of The Beatles' Yellow Submarine film.
I love it.

Ohhh this is fantastic.

FYI I modded this to make it into a Picoware-Inc. Micro-game for that collab project, as a sort of homage. It's on pico-8.Slack.com in #collab

I love the art style here, it's pretty surreal and I haven't seen a single other pico-8 game that looks quite like this. It's given me a lot of cool ideas art-wise. Even simply swapping the transparent color to allow pure black in sprites significantly changes the feel of it, for example.

This is absolutely beautiful.

Love it!

That's very... monty pythons? Lot's of effort in the art here.

this is wonderful. amazed at the fluidity of the warp and I adore the night music.

I'm not a mathematician, but Surrealism + Pico-8 = the best thing ever.

That's really really good !

Nice!

weird.....

i love it... thanks for maing/sharing it
